July 24
Well..that's what I was doing 21 years ago today.. Signing my life away..lol 21 years??!! Sure doesn't seem that long ago. I remember it was 104 degrees that day. One of the hottest days of the year. Because of the extreme humidity we also had severe thunder showers luckily though the rain was only while we were in church.. you could hear the thunder and lightning during the ceremony and everyone was trying to make me feel better by telling me that it was a sign of good luck...lol By the time we were married after the ceremony it was a beautiful day again the sun was shining and it was a lot less humid.
The outdoor pictures were cancelled because the grass was wet so they were taken all inside. When we got to the reception hall the people that catered my wedding were late because 2 weeks prior a main autoroute (Decarie blvd.) was flooded (flash flooding) caused by a torrential storm and 2 people actually were killed. They thought is was a repeat of that storm and didn't wanted to venture out. Which who could blame them. I wouldn't of gone either. But, by the time the photo session was finished things were alot more organized and flowing as usual. Even with all things that went wrong we still managed to have a really Beautiful wedding day and I was really overwhelmed with it all.
For our Anniversary my hubby is on a fishing trip with his buddies so we won't be doing any celebrating tonight but will make up for it next week. Hmmm.. come to think of it he was on a fishing trip last year too on our 20th Anniversary. What's up with that?? Eh!!..lol you ask?? Well..all kidding a side he's a pretty good hubby so I guess I'll forgive him like I always do. Grown men become like little boys again with there fishing trips..it's so funny. I just couldn't say no and he knows that too!!
Anyways, I made this video/slideshow quite some time ago. Thought you may want a laugh..:)
Have a great weekend!! Everyone
Love & hugs,
Geri

The American Flag
The 50 stars represent the 50 states
and the 13 stripes represent the 13 original states.
Red signifies hardness & valor
Whites signifies purity and innocence.
Blue signifies vigilance, perseverance & justice
Above all, we must realize that no arsenal,
or weapon in the arsenals of the world,
is so formidable as the will and moral courage
of free men and women.
It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have.
GOOD NEWS!! I'm pleased to announce that our very talented and world traveled..:) Giselle is back at MSN Spaces. Originally from Boston, Mass. USA, was living in China for awhile and now living in Munich, Germany. Make sure to check out her Space - The Space Between Us - Munich

I'm dreaming of Canada tonight. A country where mountains and hopes touch the sky A country where an ocean of kindness fills all hearts A country where ideas are a forest of wisdom Oh God let me wake up in Canada!
I'm dreaming of Canada tonight. A country where compassion is as tall as a douglas fir A country where understanding is as deep as a great lake A country where confidence grows like grain Oh God let me wake up in Canada!
I'm dreaming of Canada tonight. A country where happiness flows like the water of a river A country where love is a breath of fresh air A country where peace covers the land like snow Oh God, please let me wake up in Canada, tonight...

Together we are Canada!
My name is British Columbia The jewel of the West Coast. Forestry and fishing are The things that I do most.
Hi, I am Alberta A wild west kind of place With cows and oil and mountains And lots of open space.
I am Manitoba And I’m Saskatchewan We’re the golden prairies Where fields of wheat grow in the sun
Hi, I am Ontario The home of government To me each year the leaders Of our democracy are sent.
Bonjour, I am Quebec Here French is my language too When I want to ask “how are you?” I say, “comment t’allez vous?”
Newfoundland, New Brunswick And Nova Scotia -- those are we, are Atlantic Provinces The three musketeers of the sea.
I’m Prince Edward Island And I know I may be small But without me all the rest of you Would have no potatoes at all.
The Yukon, Nunavut and North West Territories are up north. Through ice and cold and polar bears Few brave souls venture forth.
Together we are Canada One nation strong and free With sharing, friends and happiness Forever we will be!

TRAITS OF WOMEN AND MEN
Women:
Women have strengths that amaze men. They carry children they carry hardships and they carry burdens, yet
they hold happiness, love and joy. They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry. They cry
when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous. Women wait by the phone for a 'safe at home' call from a friend
or loved one after a snowy drive home.
They are childcare workers, executives, attorneys, stay-at-home moms, biker babes and your neighbours. They wear
suits, jeans, and uniforms. They fight for what they believe in and they stand up against injustice. They walk and talk
the extra mile to get their kids into the rights schools and to get their family the right health care. They go to the doctors
with a frightened friend.
Women are honest, loyal and forgiving. They are smart; they know that knowledge is power, but they still know to
use their softer side to make a point. Women want to be the best for their family, their friends and themselves.
They have sorrow at the death of a friend. Their heart breaks at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when
they think there is no strength left.
A woman can make a romantic evening unforgettable.
Women come in all sizes, colours and shapes. They live in houses, apartments and cabins. They drive, fly, walk,
run or e-mail to show how much they care about you. The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin.
Women do more than just give birth. They bring joy and hope. They give compassion and ideals. They give moral
support to their family and friends. All they want in return are a hug and a smile and for you to do the same for the
people you come in contact with.

With summer fun around the corner so are summer cook outs. If you like ribs this recipe is one of the easiest and is exactly
Though not really for the cholesterol prone.. they are worth induging once in awhile because they are really AMAZING!!
I make them at least once or twice a year usually when they go on sale because they can be a little expensive otherwise.
They usually go on sale around Mother's and Father's Day here so that is when I stock up. They can be done two ways in a
oven proof dish in the oven or on the barbeque. I prefer doing them on the barbeque.
Bar-B-Barn Ribs
2 lbs. Ribs Approx.
1 1/4 cups Brown Sugar 1 cup Apple sauce
1/4 cup Molasses
1/2 cup Ketchup
1/2 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Paprika 1/2 tsp Cinnamon 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder ( I actually use fresh garlic a clove or 2..:)
6 Tbsp. Lemon Juice 1/2 tsp. Pepper Parboil your ribs. Double this receipe for lots of basting on the barbeque. Mix and heat until boiling. Baste ribs with half the sauce.
Bake in oven proof dish at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Turn ribs and baste with remaining sauce for another 45 minutes. Enjoy!!! ..:)
